Some people see the character in 2157 as a nurse; others see her as a waitress. I didn't have a fixed design in mind when I drew her, so either interpretation's fine with me. A nurse or a waitress like this would certainly be a feast for the eyes, but I must say, I'd be a bit unnerved by her-I'm not sure I could trust anyone who dressed like this! I don't know why, but this was the only illustration I did for the Gum Magazine series that the editors really took a liking to. It's probably because compared to most of my images, this is one of the most gentle-looking. Actually, I spent more effort on her color than on her shape, and l particularly like the way her hair color turned out. |
